What's New in the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer?

For 2020, the Chevy Blazer gains a new optional engine and a new trim lineup. A 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder is now standard in the 2LT and 3LT trims. The V6 is still optional on these two models and standard on the RS and Premier. The idle stop/start mechanism can now be manually overridden.  See the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer models for sale near you

Which Blazer is the Best?

If you're not concerned with the latest driver-assist features, we think most people will be quite happy with the 2LT or 3LT. The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder is just too weak for this vehicle, and the V6 opens the door to AWD and a 4,500-lb tow rating. We'd toss in some options, such as the Sound and Technology package, and still get out the door for around $40,000.  Find a Chevrolet Blazer for sale

2020 Chevrolet Blazer vs the competition

2020 Ford Edge -- The Ford Edge offers more powerful engine options and more standard driver assists, as well as more trim and option choices. 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee -- The Grand Cherokee offers a more versatile platform, with real off-road ability. In addition, it has more luxury and standard safety systems, although its interior is not as roomy. The Grand Cherokee also offers a V8 and high-performance engines options. 2020 Nissan Murano -- A comparably equipped Murano costs less than the Blazer and comes with more standard equipment. The Blazer's V6 is more powerful, but the Murano's engine is more fuel-efficient. 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe -- The Hyundai Santa Fe offers more standard features, such as standard driver assists, a better warranty, a lower price and more optional equipment choices. However, while the 4-cylinder engine is comparable to the Blazer's standard engine, the optional 2.0-liter turbo is more powerful than the Blazer's turbo engine -- but not as powerful as the Blazer's V6. Used Lexus RX 350 -- A used 2015 to 2018 Lexus RX 350 offers more luxury and safety features in an upscale SUV with plenty of room and power. There's also a high-mileage hybrid option in the RX 450h.
